Exhibition "The Struggle for Recognition" in the KHG Munich
Exhibition battle for recognition in the KHG MünchenVom 06.06. to 31.07.2012 takes place in the Catholic school community in Munich Leopold Strasse 11, an exhibition entitled "The Struggle for Recognition" instead. This exhibition brings together works by five artists of the Academy of Fine Arts: Christina Kopka, Jakob Steiger, Julia Schoell, Franziska Schmelzle and Lenka Richterová. With the theme "The Struggle for Recognition," these five associate at the social and political slogans like the retro shear-level recognition, StonoMono, psychological need, and resistance. From sketchy drawing to painting to installation to the space they work up their ideas and experiences.
The struggle for recognition appears to be natural subjects of war and is being implemented by the artists in their own way. While Jakob Steiger is the issue to the people and its development, Franziska Schmelzle abstracted the struggle for recognition by horse / tail / Mexico. It depends on the threatening into the light. Christina Kopka deals with the quest for recognition of the psyche to physical pain. Lenka Richterová tried the desire for recognition in an allegory to represent. And with 'resistance' associated Julia Schoell the fight for the unconditional recognition. Immutability and dependence are expressed in their works.
With the support of the Catholic Student Association and Munich in cooperation with students of Art History at the University of Munich, this exhibition is being organized across the institution, with special emphasis on the student exchange Munich universities.
Come and visit the exhibition "The Struggle for Recognition" in the period from 06.06. until 31.07.2012 in the Catholic High School community in Munich. The team from Munich Blog wishes much fun.

Gradually the legendary band member Eddie Vedder is moving to getting your proposal but ... get find a singer who comes to live up to our beloved and never forgotten, Layne Staley? The answer to this question surely we can give the end of the year ...

Bruce Springsteen in Barcelona
"Hello Barcelona! Hello Catalunya! Hello Barcelona! Hello Catalunya! One! Two! "
And then the almighty Bruce Springsteen and E-Street Band reformed attacked with "Badlands" and there's no tomorrow. And the Olympic was falling apart and nobody cared and the long wait, the late and lamentable sound. Barcelona Barcelona but was not E-Street, the center of the Earth, everything. Following the overwhelming start, the Boss and the boys took to as "We Take Care Of Our Own" and "Wrecking Ball" to make clear that this tour is an excuse to defend a new material that they feel very comfortable and not a meeting of dinosaurs ruined that comply with two short hours of greatest hits. "No Surrender" returned to ruffle the beauty of the attendees and burn-out the Lluís Companys.
By now we all knew that Bruce Springsteen had done it again: once again the world would categorize this as a historic night. And there was much, much ahead. "Death To My Hometown" preceded a really exciting and revisited "My City Of Ruins", which on this tour serves as a support for the presentation of the band. It lacked the memory for the missing Danny "Phantom" Federici and "Bigman" Clarence Clemons. "Trobeu algú missing? If vosaltres esteu here i nosaltres estem here Llavors article further ells are here. "Goose bumps and tears in the audience. Bruce knows and does not let us take the cold. Without rest, the band overboard festive and participatory Out In The Street and then ventures into the first jewel of the night: "Talk To Me". This song, dismissed in 1978 for demolition Darkness On The Edge Of Town and included in the commemorative box The Promise, has rarely returned to the stage in the Wrecking Ball Tour. "Jack Of All Trades" with dedication to the indignant including the 15-M, closes what might be considered the initial part of the show.
The second hour of the show threw up rock and roll and power spurts. A visceral "Youngstown", followed by the most incendiary "Murder Incorporated" that fans will remember in years, returned to warm up the crowd, which continued to happen with "Johnny 99" and a groundbreaking version of "You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch) "which premiered on this tour. She's the One and Shackled and Drawn-vibrant theme of the new album is coming up live-gave way to one of the most cheerful of the night. "Waiting On A Sunny Day," when she sang the chorus on stage with Bruce and Barcelona shouting as seldom and "The Promised Land" took us back to ecstasy, with the head playing the harmonica into the crowd. After that, a correct version of "The River" gave way to something that went unnoticed for many, but what most veteran fans and / or bitter could not believe. After a simple dedication to the city and an anonymous fan, Roy's piano melody that he put together a more than thirty years since anyone heard live. We looked incredulous, questioning. Really what was happening? Yes, it was true and if it was a dream, we do not want anyone to wake up. Springsteen's guitar note for note stuck almost legendary introduction of "Prove It All Night" that he wore in the 1978 tour and, rarely, in 1980. That introduction had become legendary, between reality and fiction, something that was whispered in the front row every night when one lucky fan attending the shows in 1978, told with care, as if unwilling that any could know. And it was happening in Barcelona, more than 30 years later. Even the festive "Hungry Heart", new release, managed to wipe our faces the tracks of the most overwhelming surprise. "The Rising" and "We Are Alive" were an impasse until the brutal version of "Thunder Road" that closed the official part of the concert, in memory of "Prove It All Night" still very much alive.
A rapt audience asked the expected encore of leftover ad nauseum, and Bruce did not disappoint at all. "Rocky Ground" with rap Michell Moore included, prepared us all for the last few lashes of the concert: A strong version of the forgotten "Born In the USA", a devastating "Born To Run" and, as with the lights on "Bobby Jean", "Dancing In The Dark" and "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out", during which images were projected Clarence Clemons as a tribute and gave an emotional minute's silence in the middle of issue.
Bruce Springsteen had done it again: we had become a smash for 3 hours and almost 15 minutes. At 62 years, was the most cool and left the packed stadium advertising did, of course, we would the next day.

Friends | Mind Control
Mind Control is now the third single of the New York Friends formation, whose debut album Manifest in this country on 1 June will appear. Quite as snappy as the first single I'm His published titles Girl Mind Control is not so, but still goes into the ear and convinces above all with his absolutely remarkable video. Colorful, exciting, psychedelic. I feel so so far have not encountered it.

The heartbreaking lie Slash and Myles Kennedy
We talk a lot about indie and alternative rock but now we also like to make a stop on the way to approach a little more hard rock territory. For this special occasion we have two exceptional players, Slash and Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge leader), who scrambled together and just released the brand new video for 'You're A Lie', first single brand of "Apocalyptic Love "has already been leaked on the net despite going on sale on 22 May.
An epileptic rhythm recording and crushing images of Slash and Myles Kennedy letting the skin are the simple is what we found in a video that serves as perfect appetizer for what awaits us in this new album. The previous LP were quite happy but this "Apocalyptic Love" part, at least a priori, as a safer bet and staff of one of the most acclaimed duos faction international hard rock.

Interdimensional emotions in 'Before The Dive' in St. Lucia
I have been said that St. Lucia, the band consists of Jean Philippe Grobler and a number of musicians who abet, become great in this 2012. There are several signs that confirm me: from the commercial potential of the themes of "St. Lucia EP "to the interest it has begun to awaken in some reputable media (sound familiar such a Guardian?). Another point to consider is the question of the quality of some amazing music production after production.
If, 'We Got It Wrong' hallucinate for his eccentricity, we now turn to marvel at a video - that of 'Before The Dive', directed by Elliott Sellers and Carlos Lopez Estrada - who knows precisely combine with inorganic beings and unknown dimensions . Video Grace resides mainly in the sensationalism to the Big Bang that is produced from a magical kiss. The earthly becomes immaterial. The blue sky becomes the darkest depths of space.
Dominating all his actions. That's how well they play St. Lucia.

fast food Improcup finals in 2012 at the slaughterhouse
Fast food ImprocupAm 05/12/2012 presents the slaughterhouse in Munich, the final of the fast food Improcup 2012-series. To crown it says: Bavarian champion vs. Champions League winners. This is not the FC Bayern Munich or any other football clubs mentioned, but from the previous winners of improvisation tournaments that were held in 2012 at the slaughterhouse. And while football players love to stumble over their own (or enemy's) legs, have to watch the improvisational talents, not to trip over his own tongue. Have you been asked before, in 2 1/2 minutes to improvise a Shakespeare? Or a radical political scene in 90 seconds? When fast food Improcup such challenges are not only readily accepted, but also mastered terrific!
Love story, science fiction, docu-soap - on the hunt for the golden trophy, the players and players to jump from genre to genre. A random dictates the tasks, time is running out! Fast poignant stories or tender moments? For both players need a cool head and nerves of steel. For whoever comes too soon leaves the stage and the enemy who is delaying the climax too long risked the crash with severe penalties. The drop height to determine the audience with their requirements, with hearty applause or boos.
Ten top teams from Bavaria and the rest of the world have lined up since January 2012 Germany's toughest tournament improvisational theater. After eight exciting matches are now the favorites for the Champions League and the International Bavarian masters of improvisation, the tatwort Allstars (aka Birgit Quirchmayr and Christian rock act and word fields of improvisational theater in Munich) in the final. The fast food pushes theater to all participants of the thumb and sent to Joerg Schur (fast food Improcup winner 2010) an arbitrator, which guarantees a tough but fair competition.
Also visit the fast food Improcup finale 2012 on 12/05/2012 at the slaughterhouse in Munich. The team from Munich Blog wishes much fun.

We Are Scientists in Madrid (Sun, May 3, 2012)
We Are Scientists, the American trio sound so brit who loves Europe, finally returning to Spain to start a discussion (with some delay) the tracks from his latest album, released in 2010. With cold beer and bad weather, Madrid welcomes you like dancing.
Madrid, 22'15h. Gardens in the central street, close and silent, begins to assemble a shy group of people seeking shelter from the rain against the front of the room The Sun
With four laps in his belt, several EPs and even a series of fiction, We Are Scientists was last seen shortly, very shortly, by the Spanish geography. His last gig in Madrid was in 2006, shortly before releasing their second album 'With Love and Squalor "(Virgin, 2006), the same year presented in the FIB. And played them back, right?
It's time. The steps animated, anxious, down the stairs of The Sun to find a completely empty room in a few minutes, it shows almost crowded. The small stage of this room allows Madrid who occupy the front rows are practically on top of the stage, a few meters from the artists. The public can not be more eclectic. Since the thirties they met with their first album, to a younger face that should go into the playoffs from their latest album, 'Barbara', published in 2010.
With some delay, the New York trio jump on stage, greeted and promptly start out with 'Nice Guys', one of the hits from his latest work' Barbara ', followed by' Lets See It (Brain Thrust Mastery, 2008) and 'Rules Do not Stop' (Barbara, 2010). Keith Murray, guitar and vocals, animated smiles to the public and shown to be a restless ass jumping and pounding with his Fender skill. But who won a little closer to the audience with his talk in Spanish and a bottle of red wine a microphone stand, was the bassist Chris Cain. "Long ago we are not here in Spain. We are grateful for today, "Cain said in a Spanish quite clear.
The first rush of the night came in the fourth song, the highly anticipated dance hit 'Nobody Move' (With Love ..., 2006). The powerful sound of this hit led to another major singles as 'Chick Lit', 'Scene is Dead' or 'I Do not Bite' to which the said room chanting and dancing. Heated atmosphere, laughter shared between the band and the audience, loud guitar and drums (thanks to Michael Tapper, who sweated the shirt like the one above), gave way to the finish line concert with three songs that could not miss: 'Great scape ',' Jack & Ginger 'and the finale,' After Hours'. A well chosen repertoire that served to validate both his latest work, as the successes that auparon few years ago.
In an hour and a quarter Justito, the bolus was ready. "Thank you", they say, smiling funny, saying they will return soon. A hasty farewell. We satisfied but with that feeling of you want some dessert (there was a, or intention to do so), I'll wait here with the door open for The Riviera facing the challenge of a middle room, and finally , consolidate its status in the Spanish scene.

New issue of Lykke Li composed and performed in New York
Some you probably know that Lykke Li has created with Miike Snow, Peter Bjorn and John and some artists the label called Ingrid. Yes? So to celebrate the group made a party last Friday at the Bowery Ballroom in New York in which to interpret the Swede took an entirely new Lykke Li Timotej Zachrisso had composed during his stay in the famous U.S. city.
Many of us that we can not wait to see her again for our country. Unfortunately the talented singer has confirmed two concert dates in Zurich and at the Pukkelpop Festival which may well be the only two concert dates in the remainder of 2012. Let's see if at least Lykke surprise and gets to fall to compose / record the successor of "Wounded Rhymes". This new venture is delicious and do not doubt that the other songs that will make the next album will be too.

Never get tired...
Hans-Dietrich Genscher, the man with the jug ears and a yellow tank top, is the language that he was once met during one of his numerous flights as restless foreign minister himself and was able to wave to the friendly window of his aircraft. From a closer relationship with the G.Rags the grand old man of the Liberal Democracy of details is not known, but their performance workload can be compared to his.
Tucson, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Lugano, Zurich, Basel, Hamburg - in between, of course, lots of Monaco, Oktoberfest anyway - that the talented bunch to succeed yet again and again very fine albums, may be confidently regarded as a small miracle bajuwarisches.
Well then, "Pain Perdu" - it should be number six. At the opening a wonderfully ornate "Cumbia Oriental," the subsequent piece is made for s imaginary road movie: You do not necessarily have to be out on the road, it goes sometimes, close to just the eyes and give your imagination the spores - to the dusty, heat-heavy sound of the "Train Song" fits.
For two cities there's an extra dedication, in addition to the "swing Genéve" here comes a richer version of "Swing Monaco" in the program, one of the yes on the new "München 7" soundtrack was allowed to hear the acoustic version.Very successful: the juicy blues stomp "Uncle Mike", the lively "carouselle" the happy times G.Rags should send a copy of Gravenhurst, just to give a similarly titled their latest album the best song - played on the English of their the Wiesnkrinoline, anger and hearty expressions of discontent were inevitable.
Attentiveness can be "King of the Hill" sounds unusual - Caribbean, post-punk, big band, what else, whatever, great song. Conclusion: "Gaita Del guiro", again for what springs and Hüftkreisen with "Edna Lake" is moody and contemplative's too late. After "Hold Fast" So to see any signs of fatigue, pain perdu, boredom as well - nice plate. www.gutfeeling.de
